Mother's Day Flower Arranging at Ossipoff Cabin (May 10)

$165.00

Saturday May 10, 11am-3pm

Join Courtney Monahan of Pua Hana and Paiko for a workshop full of color, creativity, and joy at Pālehua celebrating the mākuahine (mothers) and other parental figures who mean so much to us. At this event, learn a how to make lush arrangements with foraged greenery from the mountain and responsibly sourced bright florals. All materials will be provided, including a low stoneware ceramic vessel. Moms, daughters, sisters, sons, husbands, aunties, all kinds are welcome to gather and celebrate!

The workshop includes an hour of guided travel up and down the mountain, with three hours of instruction and time to explore Vladimir Ossipoffʻs personal retreat.

Guests can also look forward to mimosas and cookies. (If you’ll feel snacky during lunchtime, please feel free to bring any food and beverages you’d like to enjoy and/or share.)

————

Pua Hana by Paiko offers fresh and unusual botanicals in arrangements and lei that lean towards the contemporary, with a taste of retro.

Ossipoff Cabin was built in the mid 1950s by Vladimir Ossipoff and restored in 2020 by the Gill ʻohana. The cabinʻs Japanese-inspired style, careful use of local materials, and breathtaking view make for an inspiring setting for workshops.

Proceeds from tours benefit Pālehua Conservation Initiative, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to advance education and stewardship efforts that protect, promote, and restore the natural, cultural and community resources of the southern Wai‘anae mountains.
